Within Le Mystère Cléôpatre, Shourouk Rhaïem presents the installation Cleopatra's Kiosk.
Developed through an extensive research process, the work explores the global circulation of Cleopatra’s image across everyday consumer goods. From cola bottles to soap packaging, sardine cans to rice bags, Cleopatra appears as a recurring commercial figure — reproduced, adapted, and distributed across cultures and geographies.
Through this lens, Cleopatra emerges as a true “marketing queen,” whose image has been endlessly appropriated within mass-produced products.
Rooted in a pop art approach, the project begins with the collection and selection of these objects, forming a visual archive of popular culture. These items are then transformed through crystallization, shifting from ordinary commodities into luminous sculptural works.
