Presented by The Columns Gallery, Shourouk Rhaïem’s works were featured at Tokyo Gendai Art Fair through a selection focused on Japanese popular culture.

Bringing together everyday objects and cultural icons, the presentation explored the visual language of Japanese pop culture, with a particular focus on Goldorak — an iconic figure of manga and collective memory in Japan.

Through a process of collection and crystallization, these elements are transformed into sculptural works, where familiar references shift into luminous objects, oscillating between nostalgia, identity, and contemporary culture.
