On the occasion of Paris Photo, Shourouk Rhaïem presents All Inclusive artwork, reflecting on mass tourism in Tunisia.

Rooted in personal memory, the piece draws from the artist’s childhood in a coastal resort town during the Ben Ali era. Referencing a hotel in Sousse, the work evokes the visual language of tourism — staged leisure, decorative excess, and constructed paradise.

Blending photography, painting, embroidery, and Swarovski crystals, the work unfolds as a layered composition, akin to a patchwork of images and textures. This hybrid surface mirrors the fragmentation of memory, where personal experience intersects with collective imagery.

Between attraction and distance, the piece explores the ambivalence of mass tourism — as both a promise of escape and a manufactured reality.
